Laboratory 1 - Fluid Mechanics

Pre-requisite: CL 202 or equivalent

Course contents:

Flow through packed and fluidized beds; Flow measurement using flow meters; Flow over notches; Energy losses in pipes and bends; Cavitation phenomena in fluid flow; Impact of jet on vanes; Centrifugal and Reciprocating Pump Test Rig; Reynolds experiments; Drag coefficient measurement; Fluid velocity measurement; Flow visualization demonstration.
