Forced Convection Cooling Across Rectangular Blocks

Problem Definition:

In this problem conjugate heat transfer for laminar incompressible flow over three rectangular blocks have been solved. The problem geometry is shown in Fig. 6.1, three blocks are placed at same distance with uniform heat source. Upper and lower walls are insulted and inlet temperature is 0. The computational domain is divided into 14448 cells and more cells are used near the solid blocks.

This problem is solved using Anupravaha solver and results are shown. Temperature contour is shown in Fig. 6.2, near the solid blocks temperature is more and inside the third block temperature is maximum.

The temperature variation along the interface is shown in Fig. 6.3 and com- pared with Davalath and Bayazitoglu [1] and found a good agreement between them. The temperature along the third block interface is more as compared to the other two blocks.
