  • Rashmi Singh, a Research Scholar working under the supervision of Prof. Latha Rangan and in collaboration with Prof. Sachin Kumar, has received the 3rd Prize in the "Best Poster Presentation Award" at the Winter Symposium & SouthZone MICROCON 2024. The theme of the symposium was Anti-Microbial Resistance Vector Borne Diseases & Zoonoses, and it was held at CMC, Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India, on the 1st and 3rd of February 2024

  • Mr. Sudipta Ghosh, doctoral student under joint supervision of Dr.Latha Rangan and Dr. Utpal Bora, participated in the Training Course on "Extraction and modification of bioactive components and specialty chemicals from plants"  held from 23 to 27 April 2012, at Anadolu University,in Eskisehir-Turkey, Organized by ICS-UNIDO. He received full travel support and assistance from ICS-UNIDO to participate in this training program.
  • Mr. Pojul Loying, Ph.D. Student under supervision of Dr. Biplab Bose, participated in the European Molecular Biology Organization Practical Course on "Single Cell Gene Expression Analysis" at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory, Heidelberg, Germany from 19th to 23rd March 2012 among 16 other international participants. He received the Boehringer Ingelheim Fonds travel grant from Boehringer Ingelheim Fonds, Foundation for Basic Research in Medicine, Germany for participating in the course.

  • Dr. Vigya Kesari, a former Ph.D. student at the Department of Biotechnology, IIT Guwahati who carried out her Ph.D. research under the supervision of Dr. Latha Rangan during 2006-2010 and presently a Post Doctoral Fellow in Department of Biology, University of Western Ontario, Canada has been selected for Young Scientist Award instituted by Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA) for the year 2011-2012 in the area of Agriculture and Forest Science; for her doctoral work on Pongamia. The award will be conferred to Dr. Kesari during 99th Indian Science Congress to be held at KIIT University, Bhubaneswar, from January 3 & 7, 2012.

Bora has been awarded the First Prize in poster presentation for presenting the work entitled ("Role of PCL in nanoparticle based drug delivery" by Ratul K.Das, Arghya Sett, Naresh Kasoju, Sumithra B.,Utpal Bora) in the National Conference on Tissue Engineering held at NIT, Rourkela.
  • Mr. Tushar, doctoral student working under the supervision of Dr. Latha Rangan has been selected for the prestigious Fulbright Nehru Doctoral and Professional Research (FN-DPR) Fellowship by United Sates - Indian Educational Foundation (USIEF) as Fulbright Scholar for the year 2011-2012.
