Training-cum-Internship Program (Online)

This summer, IIT Guwahati has allowed each faculty member to supervise only a limited number (this year, the number is 1 per faculty) of internship students. I am pleased to announce that I will be accepting a few online internship students through Scaleff Systems India (www.scaleffsys.in).

I sincerely thank Scaleff Systems India for supporting this initiative by providing research funding for computing equipment to strengthen the HPC Lab of the CSE Department at IIT Guwahati, offering a modest consultancy honorarium per lecture hour, and agreeing to provide travel grant support for participation in a reputed international conference.

This intensive Training-cum-Internship Program is designed to provide hands-on experience and deep technical knowledge in advanced computing systems. The program will include around 20 hours of live lectures and 5–10 hours of interactive mentoring sessions.

The training will focus on three specialized areas:

• Large-Scale Multicore HPC Programming – Parallel programming using GPU, OpenMP, MPI, and Cilk with focus on optimization for machine learning and Large Language Models (LLMs).

• Cloud Systems Design – Cloud architecture, deployment models, cost optimization, energy-efficient computing, edge systems, and reliability engineering using platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure.

• Multicore System Design – Architecture of Quad/Octa-core CPUs, AVX-based systems, MPSoC architectures, GPU systems, and hardware design using Verilog.
