CDMR celebrated its first anniversary through an international webinar on Role of academics and governance in disaster risk reduction on 18th January 2022. The eminent speakers in this event were Prof. TG Sitharam, Director of IIT Guwahati; Prof. Rajib Shaw, India Japan Lab, Keio University and Chair of the United Nations Science Technology Advisory Group; Dr. Laxmi Priya M.S. IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Bongaigaon, Assam; and Prof. Mohammad Rezaur Rahman, Institute of Water and Flood Management, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. Dr. Sudip Mitra, Head of CDMR, was the convener of the event.
