As a part of DRR Lecture series, on 10th Feb 2022, a second lecture was delivered by Prof. Manish Kumar who is a full professor and heads the Sustainability Cluster at the School of Engineering, UPES, Dehradun, India. He is in the expert panel for UNEP on anti-microbial resistance, Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC), has featured in the world’s top 2% researchers’ list (compiled by Stanford University, USA), has two COVID research awards, a Faculty Research Award by Career 360, Best Research Paper Award & Best Poster Award (2018), Best Research Award (2013) at Asia Pacific Network (2018-2020), DST young scientist grant (2012-15), JSPS Research Fellowship (2010-12), Centre of Excellence (CoE) Young Researcher Fund (2007) and Linnaeus-Palme Grant from SIDA, Sweden (2005). He renders editorial services to several reputed journals like Nature Partner Journals (NPJ) Clean Water, Science of the Total Environment, ACS ES&T- Engineering, Current Pollution Report, etc. Prof. Manish Kumar delivered a talk on Has wastewater surveillance of Covid-19 helped in Disaster Risk Reduction?.
