Pavement Materials Laboratory

The Pavement Materials Laboratory is equipped with many high end equipment not only for testing and characterization of pavement materials such as bitumen, aggregates and soil. Some of the major equipment available in the lab are Pneumatic Universal Testing Machine (UTM), Gyratory Compactor, major equipment for design of Cold Mixes (Wet Track Abrasion Testing Machine, Cohesion Tester, Schulze Breuer and Loaded Wheel Tester), Falling Weight Deflectometer, Digital Marshall cum Indirect Tensile Strength Tester, Multi-speed Compression Loading Machine, Forced Ductility Testing Machine and Automatic Vacuum Sealing Machine.
