Ph.D. in CSE
While research forms the main component of the programme, due emphasis is also given to course work to ensure proper breadth in the subject.
The Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) is the Department's research degree for graduate students and is available in all faculties and departments. Ph.D. is intellectually demanding and candidates are expected to have high level of attainment and motivation to pursue this programme of advanced study and research. Completion normally requires three or four years of full-time study.
Each of the Ph.D. scholars needs to clear a comprehensive test covering basic subjects in Computer Science and Engineering. The objective of the test is to judge the research scholar on his/her understanding of the basic subjects in the field.
