Reporting the written equivalent of spoken words is the goal of speech recognition. In this lab we use various techniques based on statistics and probability to model the speech perception process. Several techniques and their enhancements are being investigated to optimize search space. An attempt to design and implement multilingual speech recognition system is also being investigated. Robust and real-time issues in speech recognition is also being studied.
