New seating areas for hostel canteens

Project Description

At IITG, Umiam, Barak, and Kameng hostels, each with about 600 students, lack dedicated canteen seating. Students currently use corridors as dining areas, causing overcrowding, discomfort, and safety concerns. To resolve this, new canteen seating areas with covered sheds, adequate lighting, and ceiling fans are urgently needed. These upgrades will improve the dining experience, providing a comfortable, well-designed space for students to eat and socialize. The project should be prioritized and is expected to be completed within a month to enhance student satisfaction and quality of life.
