Our teaching curriculum combines state-of-the-art teaching, research, and technology development in the frontier areas of DS&AI, providing students with a strong theoretical foundation and emphasizing areas of interdisciplinary applications. Faculty and students of the school explore solving societal problems, including those of regional importance relating to water quality and usage, healthcare, and agriculture.
The IIT Guwahati School of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence has partnered with the Mehta Family Foundation (in USA), which has a rich history in supporting initiatives enhancing the quality of life and access to education. The School receives guidance from members of the Mehta Family Foundation (MFF) CARE, many of whom are global experts in the field of DS&AI. This arrangement represents a unique approach to building 21st-century talent in India, particularly in emerging scientific and technological fields.
