Bio-gas generation from cattle dung and other compatible waste resources

The project aims towards efficient utilization of cattle dung and other compatible waste resources for the generation of bio-gas using existing bio-gas plants which require minor modifications and maintenance related works. Prof. P. Mahanta who is a reputed and established faculty in the field of bio-gas generation has been requested to contribute towards the bio-gas generation project at IITG campus. The generated bio-gas is anticipated to serve as cooking fuel for various residents in and around IIT Guwahati. Thereby, students and interested faculty members could drive awareness and concern towards the smart utilization of compatible waste resources at the campus to produce bio-gas. <-- back to projects
