1. PhD:

(a) Dr. Swapan Kr. Pandit: Defended his thesis titled "HOC schemes for incompressible viscous flows on geometries beyond rectangular" on 9 May, 2007 (with Dr. D. C. Dalal, Department of Mathematics, IITG as the joint supervisor). After working as a research associate in IISc Bangalore, post doctoral fellow in Université Pierre et Marie Curie-Paris 6, he joined  BITS, PILANI, INDIA as a faculty member in the department of Mathematics. Currently he is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Integrated Science Education and Research Centre in Visva Bharati University INDIA.

(b) Dr. Rajendra Kr. Ray: Defended his thesis titled  "Some new directions in HOC methodology: tackling circular geometries" on 12 September 2009. After spending a year as a research associate at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and working as a  post doctorate fellow at the Laboratoire d'Hydraulique Saint-Venant in Paris, France for another year, he is currently working as an Associate Professor in the School of Basic Sciences at Indian Instititute of Technology Mandi.

(c) Dr. Shuvam Sen: Defended his thesis titled  "Compact biharmonic computation of the Navier-Stokes equations: Extension to complex flows" on 30 June 2012.  Currently he is working as an Associate Professor in the department of Mathematical Sciences in Tezpur University, INDIA.

(d) Dr. Bidyut Bikash Gogoi: Defended his PhD thesis titled  "Some diverse directions in higher order compact  methodology"  on 30th December 2014. He is currently working as a scientist at Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).

(e) Dr. Sougata Biswas: Defended his PhD thesis titled "SOME ASPECTS OF CORNER VORTICES IN SEPARATED FLOWS: A THEORETICAL AND NUMERICAL INVESTIGATION" on 10 December 2018.  Currently Dr. Biswas is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Visva Bharati University INDIA.

(f) Dr. Devanand: Defended his PhD thesis titled "HOC Approach to the Dynamics of Waves in Excitable Media" on 14 July 2020.  Currently working as post-doctoral fellow at the Department of Chemistry, Saint Louis University, Missouri USA.

(g) Dr. Pankaj Kumar: Defended his PhD thesis titled "Development of compact schemes for the biharmonic form of Navier-Stokes equations on compact nonuniform grids without transformation" on 17th May 2021

(h) Dr. Sailen Dutta: Defended his thesis titled  "Compact High Order computation of complex heat and mass transfer problems on nonuniform grids" on 11 April 2022. 

(i) Mr. Raghav Singhal: Defended his PhD thesis titled   "Higher Order Compact Explicit Jump Immersed Interface Methods for Incompressible Viscous Flows: Application and Development" on 24 June 2023. He is currently working  as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Department of Computer Sciences, University of California Davis USA.

(j) Mr. Atul Rai: After the State of the Art seminar, he is currently embarking on the research of Shear layer instability in channel flows.

(j) Mr. Mijanur Rahaman: Currently working on the Application and Development of HOC schemes for Miscible Viscous Fingering in Porous media (with Dr. Satyajit Pramanik as the co-supervisor).

(k) Mr. Pratham Singh: After successfully completing Compulsory Courses, awaiting to clear the Comprehensive Examination.
