Workshop Overview and Objective

Skill Enhancement Workshop in Teaching and Research is a comprehensive two-day initiative designed to empower faculty members and research scholars. Faculty are the most valuable asset of any higher education institution, as they impart knowledge and equip students with the skills required to tackle future challenges. Traditional teaching methods and assessment techniques are no longer adequate to keep pace with the demands of modern education. This workshop focuses on enhancing both teaching and research skills, equipping faculty and research scholars with essential tools and strategies to excel in their academic roles. Incorporating technology-based teaching tools and interactive discussion forums can significantly improve student-teacher engagement. Recognizing the pivotal role faculty play in shaping students' learning experiences and advancing research in the field, the program covers key topics such as effective teaching methodologies, how to initiate collaboration with industries, research ethics, grant writing, research presentations, and emerging trends in engineering.

This workshop brings together faculty from various technical institutes across India, providing a platform to share and exchange best practices in teaching and learning. The program is designed for faculty members and research scholars from various engineering disciplines. The goal is to foster a dynamic academic environment where faculty can refine their instructional practices while contributing to cutting-edge research.

SERB

The Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) is a statutory body established through an Act of Parliament. Supporting basic research in emerging areas of Science & Engineering are the primary and distinctive mandate of the Board. SERB aims to build up best management systems which would match the best global practices in the area of promotion and funding of basic research. Promotes basic research in Science and Engineering and to provide financial assistance to persons engaged in such research, academic institutions, research and development laboratories, industrial concerns and other agencies for such research and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto are the primary and distinctive mandate of the Board.

INAE

The Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE), founded in 1987 is an Autonomous Professional Body partly supported by grant-in-aid from the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India. INAE comprises India's most distinguished engineers, engineer-scientists, and technologists covering the entire spectrum of engineering disciplines. INAE functions as an apex body and promotes the practice of Engineering and technology and the related sciences for their application for solving problems of national importance.
