What the three checks mean
SHA256 — the document text has not been altered since issue.
SIG — the club's private key signed it, so the club really issued it.
Only the holder of that key could produce this mark.
LEDGER — this reference is genuinely recorded by the club.
All three must pass. A code that fails any one of them is not authentic.
The club's public key
This is the public half of the club's signing key. It is safe to share
and cannot be used to sign anything. Only certificates signed by the matching private key
will pass.
