About

Dr. Ronil earned his Ph.D. in Finance from the Department of Management Studies at IIT Roorkee. He is also an alumnus of the University of Delhi, where he completed his M.Com (Finance) and B.Com (Hons.). Prior to his tenure at IIT Guwahati, he held the position of Assistant Professor in Finance at FLAME University, Pune. Dr. Ronil’s research specializes in the application of advanced computational methods to financial markets. His doctoral dissertation focused on developing machine learning techniques for portfolio optimization, specifically aiming to improve the Black-Litterman Model through predictive modeling and optimization strategies. His work has been featured in leading finance journals. At IIT Guwahati, Dr. Ronil’s research interests lie at the intersection of finance and technology, specifically focusing on Portfolio Management, Machine Learning for Finance, Neural Networks, and Investor Sentiment. As an educator, he is dedicated to advancing student expertise in Investment Analysis, Risk Management, Corporate Finance, Managerial Accounting and Fintech.
