One-Day Workshop on -
Introduction to MATLAB

SPIE IITG Student Chapter would like to take the privilege to make an announcement that our chapter is going to organize a One-day MATLAB workshop on 10th August 2019 in the Dept. of Chemical Eng., IIT Guwahati. MATLAB (matrix laboratory) is a multi-paradigm numerical computing environment and proprietary a programming language developed by MathWorks. MATLAB allows matrix manipulations, plotting of functions and data, implementation of algorithms, creation of user interfaces, and interfacing with programs written in other languages, including C, C++, C#, Java, Fortran, and Python.
Our chapter came into existence officially on 30th of October, 2015 at the premises of IIT Guwahati. It has inculcated in its agenda by organizing visiting lectures, various outreach activities, workshops to promote science in North East India, and optics teaching in nearby schools.
The one-day MATLAB workshop will comprise an introductory lecture on fundamental of MATLAB, demonstrations, and hands-on sessions, which helps the participants to grab the opportunity to learn and apply it to their research work. Prof. Bosanta R Boruah (Dept. of Physics, IIT Guwahati) and Dr. Kotecha Prakash (Dept. of Chemical Engineering, IIT Guwahati) will deliver the lectures and followed by the hands-on sessions.

Eligibility Criteria

UG/PG/Doctoral students who have keen interest and want to explore more on MATLAB PROGRAMMING
Project staff/ Technical officers who have been working on the field of programming and simulation.

Registration fee Rs. 150/- for Non-SPIE Members and Free for SPIE Members
