High Performance GPU Computing Facility of TIH

We are providing a High Performance GPU Computing Facility from TIH, IITG The GPU system is NVIDIA DGX™ A100 which is a universal system built for all AI infrastructure and workloads, from analytics to training to inference. The system is built on eight NVIDIA A100 Tensor Core GPUs. NVIDIA DGX™ A100 is the universal system for all AI workloads, offering unprecedented compute density, performance, and flexibility in the world’s first 5 petaflops AI system. Featuring the NVIDIA A100 Tensor Core GPU, DGX A100 enables enterprises to consolidate training, inference, and analytics into a unified, easy-to-deploy AI infrastructure that includes direct access to NVIDIA AI experts.

System Specifications

User Guidelines

  1. Users are required to acknowledge the use of HPGC in all publications, presentations, thesis, webpages, etc. by including the following or similar statement:
    “This work is supported by the IITG Technology Innovation and Development Foundation (IITGTI&DF), which has been set up at IIT Guwahati as a part of the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NMICPS). IITGTI&DF is undertaking research, development, and training activities on Technologies for Under Water Exploration with financial assistance from the Department of Science and Technology, India through grant number DST/NMICPS/TIH12/IITG/2020. Authors gratefully acknowledge the support provided for the present work.”
    Users are also requested to inform the HPGC administration of any such outcome for annual reports/documentation/uploading on the website, etc.

  2. All the announcements about HPGC will be made in the relevant local newsgroups and/or through the website (https://iitg.ac.in/tihue/Hpc/index.html ). Users are encouraged to go through such announcements regularly.

  3. HPGC resources are to be used for academic research purposes only.

  4. Project Guide/Adviser should request for a user account on HPGC on behalf of their Lab/Research Scholars/Students. Project Director, TIH IIT Guwahati

  5. Users should not share the password with anybody else. Using the same account by multiple users is not allowed. Users should monitor their usage of HPGC, for the purpose of detecting unauthorized use and accounting.

  6. Users must not engage in hacking, reverse-engineering, or other activities that may constitute an infringement of the intellectual property rights of others. Users should not engage in activities that may be disparaging to or bring disrepute to the facility and the Institute.

  7. Users should ensure that the software, tools, libraries and the material used or deployed by themselves comply with all the license terms and conditions. PS administration is not responsible for unauthorized licenses and usage.

  8. User is the owner and hence responsible for all data copied and generated using HPGC and HPGC administration is not responsible for the same. Users should ensure the required backup and protection of the data. HPGC administration is not responsible for compromising accounts, data theft, data publications, data claim, etc.

  9. Faculty/ Advisor are required to inform HPGC administration about removal of user account.

  10. HPGC administration will not be responsible for any data loss after the account deletion.

  11. Access to HPGC may be unavailable sometimes due to scheduled maintenance, upgrades, etc. Access to HPGC may be unavailable without notification if hardware, software, or other issues necessitate immediate maintenance for correction.

  12. Any unauthorized usage of HPGC will have their accounts immediately suspended and may be subjected to appropriate disciplinary action as decided by the competent authority of the Institute.
