Dr. Sriram Rajamani, Managing Director of Microsoft Research visited EILab and interacted with students about an overview of MSR's work, opportunities as research fellows, internships etc. He also discussed strengthening the ongoing collaboration, new collaborations between government-MSR-EILab in the field of education and healthcare with a broader aim to use technology for societal impact.

Systematic Innovation for Design, Engineering and Management

The main focus of the workshop was TRIZ (Theory of Inventive Problem Solving) and its application in design, engineering and management. The five-day workshop was divided into three modules:

  1. Formulation of RIGHT Problem using TRIZ tools.
  2. Apply TRIZ tools to get several solution concepts.
  3. Formulation of RIGHT problem and finding several solution concepts.

Workshop on Statistical Methodologies for Research in Design

Workshop Instructor: Tushar Singh (Assistant Professor, Department of Psychology, Banaras Hindu University)

The workshop covered the basics as well as the advanced level of statistical analysis along with the hands-on experience on the application of various statistical methods to the research data.
