The student mobility programme under the Erasmus+ KA171 program

CALL FOR SELECTION OF STUDENTS TO STUDY FOR ONE SEMESTER AT THE UNIVERSITAT POLITÈCNICA DE VALÈNCIA (SPAIN), WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF ERASMUS+ KA171.

Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati and the Polytechnic University of Valencia (Spain) agreed to cooperate on the exchange of students and staff in the context of the Erasmus+ KA171 program.

To whom: Doctoral students of the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati

Where to: Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV).

Period of the stay in the UPV: 15th January to 15th July 2025

What: Doctoral students will carry out a research project at the UPV as part of their doctoral thesis in the UPV’s School of Agricultural Engineering and Environment.

Area of specialization: Seed biology, Plant molecular biology, Plant transcriptomics

In the degrees of Computer Engineering and Business Administration, there are very few chances of being admitted unless the student can study in Spanish, for which they must provide a Spanish B2 certificate.

ELIGIBLE STUDENTS:

Second- or third-year PhD students from the Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering.

The application should contain:

Academic record.
Personal CV in English.
English certificate issued by the institute.
Motivation letter where the applicant expresses the reasons why she/he wishes to participate in this exchange.
Invitation letter: Doctoral students must previously agree on the stay with the UPV professor who will supervise their research during the mobility. They shall present a document that refers to the research to be carried out at the UPV, with the approval of both the thesis supervisor and the UPV professor.
Research proposal.

SELECTION CRITERIA

The Selection Committee will consider the following criteria in the selection of candidates:

The GPA (up to 5 points);
English Certificate (B2 4 points, C1 4,5 points and C2 5 points);
The motivation letter (up to 5 points);
Applicant’s CV (up to 5 points)
Research proposal. Up to 5 points

The list of candidates with the scores obtained will be published on the home institution website https://www.iitg.ac.in/aer/home and on the Project website https://icm2022.upv.es/. The candidates will have one week to present the claims they deem appropriate to the selection committee.

After this period, the selection committee will resolve the claims, if any, and issue the final list of nominees and reserve list, which home institution website https://www.iitg.ac.in/aer/home and on the Project website https://icm2022.upv.es/.
