Apart from the contemporary teaching, the faculty members of Earth System Science and Engineering specialization are also involved in several sponsored research projects and consultancy assignments.

(1) Evidence comparison between Tharsis of Mars, Hawaii Island Volcanism and Deccan Volcanic provinces based on geomorphology and lithology (ISRO Funded).
(2) Geological and fluvial studies of Martian surface using the data of Thermal Infrared Imaging Spectrometer and Mars Colour Camera (ISRO Funded).
(3) Study on the reflectance and thermal emission spectral characteristics of Orthopyroxene bearing rocks for Terrestrial and Planetary Remote Sensing (DST Funded).
