Research

I am a structural geologist with a keen interest in studying shear zones and fault zones. I am interested in understanding the processes operative within these zones of intense deformation, and how these structures influence the crustal architecture, fluid flow, and seismicity in mountain belts. For this, I integrate geological mapping, microstructures, AMS and EBSD-based techniques with 40Ar/39Ar thermochronology, Apatite Fission Track (AFT) dating, Quantitative X-Ray Diffraction, X-Ray Fluorescence, and EPMA-based analyses.
