A 3 day workshop on Robotics was organised from 24th- 26th March 2012 under supervision of two visiting faculties from Israel. The workshop was attended by students from Design and Engineering Departments, esp. Robotics Club of IITG. It provided insights and hands on guidelines for an improved system design of machines that interact intensively with humans. The brief was to develop a robotic device that would aid the elderly. The students were given detailed explanations on developing User Persona, User Requirements Studies, Functional and Technical Requirements etc. At the end of the workshop, students presented work that had solutions ranging from assisting the elderly in walking to providing them with emotional support.
