| A 3 day symposium on Human Computer Interaction Design in Virtual Environments-- sponsored by the VR Lab Project under MHRD-- was organised from 16th-18th March 2012 at Department of Design, IIT Guwahati. The objectives of this symposium were to 'Display and demonstrate VR Labs and get feedback through workshops' and to 'Review the state of the art practices in creating instructional content for virtual labs; role of design through case studies and related issues such as influence of culture in HCI curriculum development'. This was an internal IITG event. During the symposium, Mrs. Ann Austin of Department of Computer Science, University of West London conducted a workshop on Cultural aspects of HCI curriculum development.
