International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2024:
International Day of Persons with Disabilities was celebrated on 3rd December 2024 in the institute by the EOSRC, IIT Guwahati. As a part of the celebration a pledge taking ceremony was held in the forenoon and an event was organised in the afternoon, where Dr. Himashree Bhattacharyya, Associate Professor, Department of Community and Family medicine, AIIMS Guwahati and Prof. Mihir K Purkait, Dept. of Chemical Engineering were present as Cheif Guest and Guest of Honour respectively. Some invited students from Guwahati Blind School were also present and felicitated in the programme.
Jan Jatiya Gaurav Diwas 2024
Jan Jatiya Gaurav Diwas 2024 was celebrated in the institute from the period of 15th November to 26th November 2024 with some activitites like Floral tribute to Tribal Freedom Fighters, Plantation Drive, organising essay writing and Poster making competitions, etc. The celebration was concluded with the valedictory function on 26th November, 24, where Dr. Digambar Narzary, Chairperson, NEDAN foundation graced the occasion as Chief Guest of the programme.
Celebration of Ambedkar Jayanti, 14th and 17th April, 2024
On the occassion of Birth Anniverary of Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar a floral tribute on 14th April and a lecture was organised on 17th April, 2024 where renowned activist Shri Ashok Saraswati was invited as a chief guest:
