Former Post-Doctoral Research Scholar, Purdue University, and joining soon as Manager-Energy Systems, Mahindra-Electric (MTech 2011-2013 batch, PhD 2018 batch)
Dr. Mukul Parmananda completed his master's and doctoral studies from the Department of Mechanical Engineering IIT-G in 2013 and 2018, respectively. During his studies, he was involved in developing a generic CFD solver, “Anupravaha” (three-dimensional multi-physics solver on unstructured meshes), with a specific focus on convective-radiative heat transfer in participating medium. Thereafter, he worked as a post-doctoral research scholar in the school of Mechanical Engineering Purdue University (2018-2021), wherein he served as a computational lab manager. His primary role was to develop advanced modeling techniques to provide a fundamental understanding of the coupled thermo-electrochemical-mechanical interactions in novel battery systems. Additionally, he was also involved in studying lithium-ion battery safety analytics using combined experimental and modeling techniques. He will be working with Mahindra Electric as Manager-Energy Systems from July 2021. His role will be to set up a state-of-the-art battery safety lab for carrying out electrical, mechanical, thermal, and electrochemical testing at the cell, pack, and vehicle levels.
