Description:
The Scorbot-ER 5 is a vertical articulated robot, with five revolute joints. It has 5 axes plus servo gripper. The design permits the end effector to be positioned and oriented arbitrarily within a large work volume. The robot's five axes and gripper are operated by DC servomotors. Five micro switches are fitted onto the frame of the robot arm.
