Dr. Riddick Kakati Website

I am currently working under the joint supervision of Prof. Subashisa Dutta, Department of Civil Engineering and Prof. S.K. Dwivedy, Department of Mechanical Engineering of Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati. I have done my undergraduate studies in Civil Engineering at Royal School of Engineering and Technology, Guwahati. I have been working on opensource computational fluid dynamics (OpenFOAM) and ecological restoration planning using advanced Geospatial and Numerical Modelling techniques as a part of my PhD research. Further, I am well experienced in experimental hydraulics and have worked with laboratory instruments such as Acoustic Doppler Velocitymeter in addition to field surveying equipment’s such as Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler, Echosounder, Current Meter, Water Quality Multi Parameter Meter, Field Spectoradiometer, Spectrophotometer, to name a few. I have also been working as a teaching assistant in various courses here in IIT Guwahati.
