Japanese expert consultants led by Dr Kuawano Takeshi as appointed by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) recently visited IIT Guwahati to have a technical discussion with the IITG team led by me under the ongoing project on “Country focused training programme on enhancing disaster risk reduction and resilience building capacities of north eastern states of India”. Prof Devendra Jalihal, Director, IITG welcomed the Japanese expert team and interacted with all. Our larger team consists of fantastic colleagues from various SDMAs of the NE Region.
