Bikram Paul
Mr. Bikram Paul received his B.Tech and M.Tech from National Institute of Technology Agartala in 2012 and 2014, in the area of Electronics and Communication Engineering and Microelectronics and VLSI Design respectively. Later, he worked temporarily as a visiting faculty member in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Tripura Institute of Technology, until December 2014. He enrolled in Ph.D. Degree at IIT Guwahati in December 2014 and working in the area of Post-Quantum Cryptography and designing architecture of SoC hardware accelerator on the FPGA platform for the same. Moreover, his research interest includes Quantum Computing, Processor architecture, VLSI CAD, post-fabrication fault tolerant circuit design, Hardware/True random number generator etc. He received Best Paper Awards in IEEE International Conference Radioelektronika (RADIOELEKTRONIKA), in the year 2019. His hobbies are playing badminton, photography, and drawing visual art painting. As an extracurricular activity, he teaches local underprivileged students as part of initiative Disha (earlier known as Zero Illiteracy Zone(ZIZ)), a free teaching program that was started by the students of Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati.
Praveen Tiwari (jointly with Prof. Pinakeswar Mahanta)

Praveen Tiwari received his BTech (EEE) from TIT Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh) and MTech from SSCET Bhilai (Chhattisgarh) in 2005 and 2011, respectively. He has worked as faculty in reputed Engineering Colleges for nearly eight years. He enrolled in PhD Degree at IIT Guwahati in July 2014. His current research interests are Community Micro Grid, Renewable Energy Resources and System Security.
Sushree Sila P. Goswami
Ms. Sushree Sila P. Goswami received her B. Tech from National Institute of Science and Technology, Berhampue, Odisha in 2008 and M.Tech in Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering from PEC University of Technology, Chandigarh in 2011. Then she worked as Assistant Professor at Sharda University, Greater Noida. She enrolled in Ph. D Degree at IIT Guwahati in December 2015 and working in the area of IoT Security algorithms and designing architecture for the same to implement over FPGA. Her other area of interest includes Cryptographic algorithms, High Performance Computing and Digital VLSI System Design.
Sushanta Bordoloi (NIT-Trainee Teacher)
Sushanta Bordoloi completed B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, School of Engineering, Tezpur University Assam in the year 2014. After the completion of his B.Tech, he joined NIT Mizoram as Trainee Teacher under the IIT – NIT Trainee Teacher Scheme of Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India to do M.Tech & PhD in Department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, Assam. He completed M.Tech in 2016 in VLSI and currently pursuing PhD at IIT Guwahati. His current research interest includes III-V Semiconductor and TCAD Simulation.
Meenali Janveja
Ms. Meenali Janveja received her BTech from Rajasthan Technical University, Kota in 2013 and M.Tech. from IGDTUW, Delhi in 2016 in the area of VLSI Design. Later she joined G.L Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management as an Assistant Professor and joined Department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering at IIT Guwahati in 2017 as a research scholar. She is presently exploring VLSI Architectures for biomedical signal processing. Her research interest includes DSP hardware design, biomedical signal processing and FPGA based electronic system design.
Ashvinikumar Pruthviraj Dongre
Mr. Ashvinikumar Dongre received B.E. in Electronics and Communication from Nagpur University and MTech in VLSI Design from ABV-IITM Gwalior. Thereafter, he worked as assistant professor at GHRCE Nagpur for 5 years. He is currently pursuing PhD in EEE Dept IIT Guwahati since 2018, his area of research includes Circuit Design for Neuromorphic Computing, Memory Design, High Performance Computing.
Ananda YR
Mr. Ananda Y R received his B.E. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Vishveshvaraya Technological University, Karnataka, India, in 2011 and M.Tech degree in VLSI Design and Embedded system from Vishveshvaraya Technological University, Karnataka, India, in 2014. He worked as an Assistant Professor from 2014 to 2017 in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, DSCE, Bangalore. He worked as JRF from 2017-2018 in the Department of Computer Science Engineering, IIT Guwahati. Later he is joined as a Ph.D. student in the Department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering, IIT Guwahati in July 2018. His research interests include Semiconductor devices and circuits, Advanced electronic devices, Digital VLSI design, Analog and mixed-signal integrated circuit design.
Ankita Tiwari (jointly with Prof. Prithwijit Guha)
Ms. Ankita Tiwari received BTech degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, U.P. India, in 2015 and MTech degree in Embedded System and Technology from Amity University, U.P. India, in 2018. She is a PhD student in the Department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, India. Her research interests include computer architecture, machine learning and VLSI system design.
Amit Kumar Singh
Mr. Amit Kumar Singh BTech degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from National Institute of Technology Meghalaya, India, in 2016 and MTech degree in Microelectronics and VLSI Design from National Institute of Technology Sikkim, India, in 2018. He is enrolled as a Ph.D. student in the Department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, India in 2018. His research interests include numerical analysis of semiconductor devices, VLSI CAD, digital circuits and systems.
Saras Mani Mishra (jointly with Prof. Hanumant Singh Shekhawat)
Mr. Saras Mani Mishra has completed BTech in Instrumentation and Control Engineering from Haldia Institute of Technology, West Bengal, India, in 2015 and MTech in Instrumentation Engineering from Nation Institute of Technology Silchar, India, in 2019. Currently, he is pursuing Ph.D. degree in the Department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering, from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, India. His research interests include VLSI circuits and system design and Control System.
Rushik Parmar
Mr. Rushik Parmar has received my Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Telecommunication from Institute of Engineering and Technology, DAVV. He did his internship at Robotronix Engineering Tech in the area of Internet of things. After that, he worked for Accenture Digital as a Software Engineer on technologies including C#, .Net. He had Joined Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati in January 2020 for Ph.D. in Microelectronics and VLSI. His research interest includes Embedded System, FPGA based system design, Internet of Things.
Bipul Boro
Mr. Bipul Boro has completed BTech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Central Institute of Technology, Kokrajhar, Assam, India, in 2016 and MTech in VLSI from National Institute of Technology Goa, India, in 2019. Currently, he is pursuing Ph.D. degree in the Department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering, from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, India. His research interests include VLSI system design, High Performance Computing and Hardware Security.
Parmita Roy
Ms. Parmita Roy completed her B.E. degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Jorhat Institute of Science and Technology, Assam, India in 2016 and did her M.Tech in Microelectronics and VLSI from National Institute of Technology, Durgapur, West Bengal, India in 2019. She has enrolled as PhD student in the Department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, India. Her research interests include Semiconductor devices, VLSI CAD, VLSI circuits and systems.
Naorem Yaipharenba Meitei (jointly with Prof. K. L. Baishnab, NIT Silchar)
Mr. Naorem Yaipharenba Meitei has received B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from North Easter Regional Institute of Science and Technology, Nirjuli, India in 2012. He received M.Tech in VLSI and Nanotechnology from National Institute of Technology, Agartala, India in 2015. He is a research scholar in Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at National Institute of Technology, Silchar, India since 2015. His research area includes analog and digital VLSI design and VLSI Physical design - especially partitioning, floorplanning, placement etc.
Apurba Bikash Kalita (jointly with Prof. Subhash Chandra Rajbongshi, GUIST, Gauhati University)
Mr. Apurba Bikash Kalita received B.E. in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Assam Engineering College, Jalukbari, Assam, in 2002. He received M.Tech. in Electronics Design and Technology from Tezpur (Central) University, Napaam, Tezpur in 2006. He then joined OIL INDIA LIMITED as Telecom. Engineer in pipeline department where he worked for four years. In 2010 he joined Dibrugarh University as Assistant Professor in the department of ECE where he stayed for a brief stint of seven months. In 2011 he joined department of ECE, GUIST, Gauhati University as Assistant Professor and since then he is working there and enrolled in the same department as Research Scholar. His research interest is Microelectronics and Artificial Intelligence and till now he has contributed in five conference proceedings and one book chapter.

Dr. Dheeraj Kumar Sinha
Dr. Dheeraj Kumar Sinha completed his primary and secondary schooling from Gaya, Bihar. He had received his B.E. in 2010 from Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal, in first division with Honours. He had received Ph.D. degree in the area of VLSI & Microelectronics from Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, India in 2017. His research area is the development of high current breakdown models and its application in VLSI, semiconductor device modelling, ultra-high current injection mechanism, ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protection devices, and device to circuit interaction. Since July 2017, he is working as an Assistant Professor in IIIT Bhagalpur.
Dr. Sameer Pawanekar
Dr. Sameer Pawanekar completed his primary and secondary schooling from Indore, Madhya Pradesh. He had received his B.E. (Electrical and Electronics Engineering) from Bhilai Institute of Technology (BIT) Durg, Chhattisgarh in 1997. He had received his MTech (Microelectronics) from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay in 2001 and Ph.D. degree in the area of VLSI CAD from Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, India in 2018. His research areas are placement and routing, physical design, static timing analysis and VLSI CAD. He is presently working as Product Manager at UST Global, Bengaluru.
Dr. Deepak Joshi (jointly with Prof. Ratnajit Bhattacharjee)
Dr. Deepak Joshi has completed his PhD in 2018 from IIT Guwahati. He is serving as an Assistant Professor in SVNIT, Surat, Gujarat. His research interest includes metaheuristics, VLSI circuit optimization, numerical techniques etc. He received two Best Paper Awards in IEEE International Conference Radioelektronika (RADIOELEKTRONIKA), in years 2015 and 2016.
Dr. Satyabrata Dash
Dr. Satyabrata Dash received his Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Biju Patnaik University of Technology in 2010 and his Ph.D. degree from Department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati in 2018. He worked temporarily as a faculty member in Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, National Institute of Technology Mizoram for an year in 2018-19. He is currently working as Principal Engineer in Standard Cell Layout Engineering Department, TSMC, Taiwan. His research interests include development of EDA tools, VLSI circuit design and optimization using nature inspired algorithms, signal integrity and power distribution network analysis and optimization, standard cell layout design and memristors. He received the Honorable Mention Award in the 2016 IEEE International Conference on VLSI Design (VLSID), two Best Paper Awards in IEEE International Conference Radioelektronika (RADIOELEKTRONIKA), in years 2015 and 2016.
Dr. Sunil Dutt (jointly with Prof. Sukumar Nandi)
Dr. Sunil Dutt has completed his Diploma (Electrical, Electronics and Communication Engineering) in 2004 and BTech (Electrical, Electronics and Communication Engineering) in 2007 from BKNGP, Narnual and ITM Gurgaon, respectively. He completed his MTech from ABV-IIITM Gwalior in 2013 and PhD in 2018 from IIT Guwahati. He is serving as an Assistant Professor in IIIT, Vadodara, Gujarat. His research interest includes digital circuit design, approximate computing etc.
Dr. Gaurav Kumar (jointly with Prof. Anil Mahanta)
Dr. Gaurav Kumar has completed his BTech (Electronics and Communication Engineering) in 2010 from Maharshi Dayanand University. He completed his MTech from IIT Guwahati in 2012 and PhD in 2019 from IIT Guwahati. He is serving as an R&D Engineer at Synopsys India, Bangalore. His research interest includes VLSI CAD, Device Simulation etc. You will always be in my memories.

Ms. Swati Shukla was born in Korba, Chhattisgarh, India. She received her Diploma (Electrical Engineering) from Government Polytechnic Korba (Chhattisgarh), BTech (EEE) from SSCET Bhilai (Chhattisgarh) and MTech from IIT Delhi in 2002, 2005 and 2011, respectively. She has worked as faculty in reputed engineering colleges for nearly six years. She started working towards a PhD Degree in July 2012 at IIT Guwahati. Her current research interests are Smart Grid, Renewable Energy Resources and HPC.

Mr. Ashok Kumar Ray received B.Tech. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology, Itanagar, India in 2002, and M.Tech. in Microelectronics from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, Mumbai, India, in 2012. Since 2014, he has been working toward Ph.D. degree at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, Guwahati, India. He is an Assistant Professor in North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology, Itanagar, India since 2006. His research interest are Silicon semiconductor processing, Silicon Carbide and III-IV semiconductors, modeling and simulation of semiconductor devices.
Berihu Gebreyohannes Abreha (jointly with Prof. Pinakeswar Mahanta)(Center For Energy) (Thesis Submitted)
Mr. Berihu Gebreyohannes Abreha is a research scholar in IIT Guwahati since July 2015. He is working in the area of solar energy generation and thermal energy storage systems. He received his B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Arba Minch University in July 2007 and his M.Sc. degree in Energy Technology from Addis Ababa University, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in 2013. He is an academic staff of Hawassa University since 2008.
Sukanta Dey (jointly with Prof. Sukumar Nandi)(Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering) (Thesis Submitted)
Mr. Sukanta Dey is pursuing his M.Tech. & Ph.D. in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, India, since July 2014. His Ph.D. thesis focuses on Machine Learning techniques for VLSI CAD. He received his B.E. degree in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering from Assam Engineering College, India, in July 2014. He has done an internship at Texas Instruments India, Bengaluru, India, for a project related to VLSI Layout Design Automation in December 2015. His research interests include VLSI CAD, VLSI Physical Design, Reliability Issues of SoC Design & interconnects, Machine Learning, and Evolutionary Computation.
Sarfraz Hussain (jointly with Prof. Rajesh Kumar, ECE Department, NERIST, Arunachal Pradesh) (Thesis Submitted)
Mr. Sarfraz Hussain is pursuing his Ph.D. (2015-present) at ECE Department, NERIST, Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh in the area of mixed-signal circuit design under the Visvesvaraya Ph.D. Scheme funded by MeitY, Govt. of India. He received B.Tech degree in ECE (2010) and M.Tech degree in VLSI (2014) from NEHU, Meghalaya, and NERIST, Arunachal Pradesh, respectively. He served as a guest lecturer for a period of one year (July 2011- May 2012) and as an assistant professor (contractual) for one semester (Jan 2015- May 2015), in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), NERIST, Arunachal Pradesh. He is an active IEEE student member and IEEE XTREME ambassador. His research interests include analog and digital VLSI design.

Mr. Krishna Mohan Dwivedi is currently pursuing his research in the area of fiber optic sensors at Department of Electronics & Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, India. He received M.Tech degree with honours in Electronics Engineering (Specialization- Communication Technology) from University of Allahabad, India, in 2012 and a B.Tech degree with honours in Electronics & Communication Engineering from Gautam Buddh Technical University (GBTU), India in 2010. His research interests include fiber optic sensors, optical communication, photonics, optical waveguides, silicon photonics, and microstructured optical fibers.
