Brief career profile
Dr. Anathakumar is working in diverse fields of agriculture for 15 years’ with emphasis on soil and water management. Soil health, precision farming practices involving drip fertigation under irrigated ecosystem, sensor based irrigation, judicious and conjunctive use of ground water, problematic soil management and contingent crop planning for command areas are the major thrust areas of his research. The major projects focussed on Land resources Inventory, Establishment of Digital Library Resources and Portal and Decision Support System for the efficient use of Land Resources of Karnataka funded by World Bank and Strengthening of Water Technology Centre.
