Brief career profile
Dr. Arindam Dey is currently an Associate Professor in the Geotechnical Engineering Division, Department of Civil Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati. He obtained his B.E. from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, followed by M.Tech. and Ph.D. from IIT Kanpur. Before joining IIT Guwahati in 2011, he has been a post-doctoral fellow at the StreGa Laboratory, University of Molise, Italy. He has already supervised 7 PhDs, 19 MTechs, and several BTech project and intern students. His research group has published more than 240 technical papers in international/ national journals and conference/seminar proceedings including books, chapters and technical reports. He is a member of the IGS, ISET, TRG, FOSET, and the ISSMGE TC-208 Committee on Slope Stability in Engineering Practice for the period 2018-2021.
