Brief career profile

Dr. Thimmegowda, Senior Scientist involved in trans-disciplinary approach in natural resource management with emphasis on agricultural water management. Water productivity enhancement through precision farming practices, sustainable soil and water management are his major research areas. His current research is focussed on Reduced runoff farming with a concept of rainfed farming can also be a protectively irrigated farming to derive innovative rainwater harvesting technique. Utilization recycled water for agricultural productivity, augmentation of groundwater through sustainable rainwater management, conservation agriculture, hrdroponics are his other research themes of proposals. He has more than 100 publications and led 8 major externally funded research projects.
