Working Principle:Mass spectrometer is an instrument used for determination of molecular weight (in mass/charge) of any organic, inorganic and biological compounds in liquid form. In mass spectrometry, polar and ionic compounds are first ionized by electro-spray ionization (ESI)-technique, however non-polar samples are ionized by atmospheric chemical ionization (APCI) technique. Ionized molecules are then fed to the TOF (time of flight) mass analyzer.
