Collaborations

Collaborating with academic institutions, research organizations, and professionals is one of the primary objectives of the Centre for Language and Speech Technology (CLST). With this objective in view, the Centre has planned and initiated collaborations at multiple levels to strengthen interdisciplinary research and long-term academic engagement.

Regional Collaborations(North-East India)

CLST actively engages with academic and research institutions across the North-East region of India to promote interdisciplinary research in language and speech technology. Collaborative efforts include knowledge exchange, joint research initiatives, and the development of multi-institution project proposals. Institutions involved in these regional collaborations include NIT Mizoram, NIT Manipur, NIT Sikkim, NEHU, Tezpur University, SMIT Sikkim, Operation Smile (GC4), Manipur University, EFLU Shillong, and Guwahati University.

National-Level Collaborations

At the national level, CLST is in constant discussions with IIT Kharagpur, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Bombay, IISc Bangalore, TIFR and other organizations for possible and fruitful collaborations.

International Collaborations

Internationally, IIT Guwahati has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, South Korea. In addition, discussions are underway with other international universities and research organizations to explore further collaborative opportunities.

Faculty members of institutions of NE region also actively participating in preparation of multi-institute project proposals.
