• Following will be applicable for students Returning back to campus:

Coming from outside Assam(not from Kerala/Maharashtra/Chhattisgarh/Madhya Pradesh)

1. If you come by flight/train/bus with a negative RTPCR test report and the sample for RTPCR test is collected within last 72 hours from your reporting time at IIT Guwahati, you can proceed to the respective hostel without quarantine.
2. Students would not be allowed to enter the IIT Guwahati Campus, without RT-PCR results (negative) as written in 1 of A.

Coming from outside Assam (from Kerala/Maharashtra/Chhattisgarh/Madhya Pradesh)

•As per recent email from CRT, IIT Guwahati, following will be applicable to the students returning from Kerala/Maharashtra/Chhattisgarh/Madhya Pradesh:

• Main Gate Security will provide you an undertaking form on your arrival. Please do submit it and carry a copy of it (lower half of the form) to the new guest house to get accommodation for quarantine.
• After reaching IIT Guwahati, you have to provide your sample at New Guest House testing center, IIT Guwahati for RAT and RTPCR test. You have to stay in quarantine in the New Guest House until your RTPCR test result comes out to be negative. RTPCR test result may take 3 to 5 days.
• Another way to get fast RTPCR test result: Upon arrival, you can go to Narayana Hospital and get your RTPCR test done against the payment of Rs. 1000. You may get your results within 24 hours. Meanwhile, you can stay in the new guest house quarantine facility. Once the result is negative, you can proceed to your respective hostel.

Coming from other areas of Assam

• As a safety measure, after arrival (before 2 PM from Monday to Saturday) you need to go for a rapid antigen test (RAT) at the New Guest House and if negative can proceed to the respective hostel.
• If you come with negative RTPCR test report and the sample for RTPCR test is collected within last 72 hours from your reporting time at IIT Guwahati, you can proceed to the respective hostel without further testing.

• If you had CoVID 19 infection within the last 3 months and recovered, you need not go for any CoVID testing provided you can produce the documents of past infection and asymptomatic for CoVID 19 when arriving in IITG campus.

•You should also enclose the hard copies of test report, flight ticket, and hostel fee advance payment receipt with the undertaking form provided at the hostel security desk. You must maintain the record of your contacts for the next seven days after arrival.
•BTech/BDes/MTech/MDes/MS(energy)/MA/MSc students have not paid the hostel fee during registration fee payment. You must pay the mess advance and other hostel related fees (INR 16,600) before coming to the campus in the HAB account details given below:

1. Go to Admission portal at https://online.iitg.ac.in/admission/
2. Fill up the required information and submit it.
3. After submission of the required additional information, download the provisional ID card.
4. Take the print out of the provisional ID card in a photo paper.
5. The students have to submit the provisional ID card while collecting the Permanent ID card.

• The necessary instructions for filling up the anti-ragging form is as follows:-

1. Log on to www.antiragging.in or www.amanmovement.org
2. Click the option “Click here to download your Anti-Ragging Undertaking”.
3. Fill in the information as desired and submit the form.
4. After filling of the form successfully, students will receive the Students’ Anti-Ragging Undertaking and the Parents Anti-Ragging Undertaking through their registered mail.
5. Take the print out of both the Undertakings. The students and their parents will sign on them and submit the scanned copy of the same through mail at saoff@iitg.ac.in
6. The hard copy of both the Undertakings are to be submitted in the Students’ Affairs Office once the students reach the campus.

• The instructions for hostel Undertakings for hostel residents are as follows:-

1. Download Hostel Undertakings here
2. Take the print out of the Undertakings. The students and their parents will sign on them and submit the scanned copy of the same through mail at saoff@iitg.ac.in
3. The hard copy of the Undertakings are to be submitted in the Students’ Affairs Office once the students reach the campus.

• The instructions for Code of Conduct Pledge are as follows:-

1. Download Code of Conduct form here
2. Take the print out of the form. The students and their parents will sign on them and submit the scanned copy of the same through mail at saoff@iitg.ac.in
3. The hard copy of the form are to be submitted in the Students’ Affairs Office once the students reach the campus.

Photograph Specifications

• The photograph must be in color taken in a clear White Background.
• Photographs taken using a Mobile phone and other self composed portraits are NOT acceptable.
• Face should occupy about 50% of the area in the photograph with a full face view looking directly to the camera.
• The main features of the face must NOT be covered by hair, any cloth or any shadow.
• Provide the image in JPG format only in square size.
• The dimension of image should be 200 x 200 pixels with a file size of 15 KB - 80 KB.

Signature Specifications

• Please put your signature with a black ink on a white paper.
• Only JPG format will be accepted.
• The dimension of image should be 140 x 60 pixels with a file size of 10 KB - 30 KB.

1. Go to the sprofile portal at https://online.iitg.ac.in/sso/index.jsp.
2. Click on “Students Profile”.
3. Fill up the necessary details (complete address, parents/guardian details, educational details, photo, signature etc.)
4. Then click on "Save" .

Note: The initials of the permanent/correspondence addresses provided should be filled in Capital letters.
The sprofile portal can be updated only after 72 hours of filling the details in Admission portal.

• To apply for RFID enabled plastic Identity Cards, go through the following instructions:-

1. Go to the sprofile portal at https://online.iitg.ac.in/sso/index.jsp
2. Login by Webmail id/Roll No. and password.
3. Click on “Students Profile”.
4. Click on “ID Card”.
5. Apply in the “Fresh” category.
6. The students who cannot apply in the “Fresh” category needs to apply in the “Late” category, with a fine of Rs. 300/-.

• It must be noted that the students have to submit the following documents while collecting the Permanent Identity Cards from the Students’ Affairs Section:-

• Provisional ID card
• Anti-Ragging Undertakings
• Hostel Undertaking
• Code of Conduct Pledge

• For multipurpose bonafide certificate, go through the following steps:-

Go to the sprofile portal at https://online.iitg.ac.in/sso/index.jsp

Click on “Students Profile”.

Then go to “Various Certificates” and apply accordingly.
