World Water Day : Let's Celebrate Water
22nd March is World Water Day. Since 1993, it is celebrated across the world with a focus on the importance of freshwater, to raise awareness of global water crises, and to support the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 6: water and sanitation for all by 2030. The keynote address will be delivered by Prof T.G. Sitharam, Director, IIT Guwahati, highlighting IITG’s contribution in achieving SDG 6 through research and education and the way forward.
The session will begin with a presentation by Media Lab founder Mriganka Madhukaillya highlighting the notion of ‘liquid history of the region’ through images.

Lost in a Dreamscape
Check out Media Lab alumni Ani Dalal's latest project "Lost in a Dreamscape". This interactive experience emulates the feeling of being lost in dreams, mazes and doomscrolls, inviting users to interact with an imaginary digital ecosystem. Check out the VR Interface projects done by the our Masters students Aman Chandra and Abhishek Prem, done as part of the course New Media Studies conducted by Mriganka Madhukaillya at the Department of Design, IIT Guwahati. The project was an attempt to create an HCI interface for an excerpt from Gut Symmetries by Jeanette Winterson.
