The Techo-Environment Club of IIT Guwahati
This is not another boring club. We have lots of technical activities as well.
Students, staff, and faculty including the Director of IIT Guwahati together planted saplings at different places inside the campus on Independence Day. A total number of 163 saplings were planted all around the campus.
Plantation drive is now a tradition of the Club and is organized every year at the starting of the semester.
National Youth Coordinator at PETA, created a documentary film whose movie screening was done on IIT Guwahati campus.
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals had an interaction session along with a movie screening on animal rights. Many animal lovers and environment enthusiasts attended the session.
IIT Guwahati campus flanked by the mighty Brahmaputra river is a gorgeous Educational Institution in the middle of a forest and umpteen number of lakes.
Prakriti, The Techno-Environmental Club of IIT Guwahati organised “bird watch” sessions, by cherishing the richness of birdlife in campus. Many bird species are spotted during the watch.
