International Scholarships
DAAD- Combined Study and Practice Stays for Engineers from India (KOSPIE)
This programme is exclusively offered to MTech scholars of IITs. It is based on a MoU between the IITs and the TU9 Technical Universities in Germany. The programme funds scholars from all 23 IITs to work on their master thesis at the German host university, which is one of the TU9 Technical Universities. The TU9 is a consortium of the nine leading technical universities in Germany RWTH Aachen, TU Darmstadt, TU Dresden, among others.
Who are eligible: M.Tech. (2-year programme) scholars in their 2nd semester and Integrated or Dual Degree scholars in their 8th semester with minimum 8.5 CGPA.

Australian National University (ANU) Future Research Talent (FRT) Award
The program is exclusive to students / staff from selected collaborating partner institutions in India of which Indian Institute of Technology - Guwahati (IITG) is one. FRT program will provide successful scholars an opportunity to travel to ANU to undertake research projects, with each FRT scholar receiving scholarship to support their travel to Canberra, Australia and cover living costs there. Raman-Charpak Fellowship
The Raman-Charpak Fellowship is a flagship programme for Indo-French researchers mobility implemented by the Indo-French Centre for Promotion of Advanced Research (IFCPAR/CEFIPRA) and is jointly funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India and the French Institute in India (IFI), French Embassy in India, Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Government of France.
It aims at fostering mobility of highly qualified Indian & French PhD and French Master’s students between the two countries for a duration of 2 to 6 months in order to broaden the scope and depth of future engagements in Science, Technology and Innovation.
Shraman Foundation Scholarship
Shraman Foundation is a private not-for-profit charitable organization founded in 2012 by Dr. Vinay Jain and his family in Dallas Texas USA. Shraman Foundation’s mission is to create opportunities that allows people and ideas to flourish and provide solutions to the world’s most pressing social and medical issues. Foundation is to provide educational opportunities to talented students to fulfill their carrier goals. Shraman Foundation intends to partner with number of education institutions across India to promote education by providing scholarships to underprivileged students to obtain education
Eligibility:
a. Only 1st and 2nd year Undergraduate students of B.E. / B. Tech, B. Arch, Dual/B. Des whose annual family income is less than Rs. 5 lakhs.
b. Students must pass their grades / subjects – no backlogs in previous semester.
Application Procedure:
IIT Guwahati would announce the Shraman Scholarship internally for the new students and give a notice of 2 weeks to apply on the Application Link at the Shraman Foundation portal.
Moreover, IIT Guwahati students have various opportunities for Exchange programs in a Foreign University/institute for one or two semester. The Institute have MOUs with different foreign Institutes for Exchange programs. AER section invites applications for nomination of students for Exchange programs in Foreign Institutes and nominates students for the program.
