ICME-2012
The International Congresses on Mathematics Education (ICME), which are supported by the International Mathematical Union (IMU), are held once every four years. They are among the most important and largest platforms bringing together the community working in mathematics education across the world to discuss the current status and trends in mathematics education research and in the practice of mathematics teaching at all levels.
ICME-2012
was held in Seoul, South Korea, during 08-15 July, 2012,
for which India was chosen as one among five countries for National
Presentations. As a preparation for the National Presentation and to engage
a large number of teachers, educators and mathematicians in an effort of
retrospection of the Mathematics Education in the country, a national
conference titled National Initiative on Mathematics Education (NIME)
was held in Mumbai during 20-22 January, 2012. NIME was the culmination of
the exercise after several conferences organized at regional level. My
participation in this exercise was the

Was a member of the Indian National Presentation team to ICME 2012.

Prepared the document on Mathematics Education in the tertiary level jointly with Geetha Venkataraman and Vinayak M. Sholapurkar: Curriculum and Pedagogy in Mathematics: Focus on the Tertiary Level, in book: Mathematics Education in India: Status and Outlook, edited by R. Ramanujam and K. Subramaniam, HBCSE, Mumbai, 2012.

Member, National Programme Committee, NIME; presented a report titled "Scenario of Mathematics Education in North East India, Challenges and Possibilities".
