Mathematics Training & Talent Search Programme
MTTS Programme, undoubtedly the most efficient training programme in the country that is running since 1993 has made a significant contribution to higher education in Mathematics in India. The programme was conceived and established by Prof. S. Kumaresan, former Professor, University of Hyderabad. Under his guidance, leadership and untiring efforts, and with participation of a small group of dedicated mathematicians in India, MTTS programme ran uninterrupted since 1993, and trained thousands of mathematics students through its unique methodology of engaged learning through discovery. As the programme expanded, a Core Committee was formed in 2011 to look into the organization of programmes under MTTS umbrella. Since 2018, all MTTS Programmes are organized by MTTS Trust, that has been formed with Prof. S. Kumaresan as the President.
IIT Guwahati is a familiar place for MTTS Programme, since an MTTS camp is almost always there at IIT Guwahati every summer: fourteen times during 1999-2018.
