The PhD program at the Centre for Sustainable Water Research is dedicated to advancing knowledge and devising innovative solutions to address water scarcity challenges. The program prioritizes sustainable water resource management by balancing human needs with environmental conservation, utilizing interdisciplinary approaches to ensure long-term water security. It seeks to strengthen scientific research, foster technological advancements, and influence education and water policies to tackle critical water issues across India, with a particular emphasis on the North-East region. Additionally, the program aims to develop a comprehensive framework integrating water quantity, quality, economics, and policies to enable effective and sustainable water management on a national scale. The program under the Centre for Sustainable Water Research was started in July 2023.
