IIT Guwahati offers the MTech in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence in hybrid mode through the School of Interdisciplinary Studies and Sustainability (SISS), IIT Guwahati. The program combines robotics, machine learning, automation, and AI technologies to solve real-world challenges.
Open to fresh graduates and working professionals alike, this program provides a flexible path to a world-class MTech degree — with no GATE requirement and no restrictions on age or location.
Minimum 2 years (6 trimesters), extendable up to 5 years (15 trimesters).
108 credits — 60 from coursework (10 courses) + 48 from Capstone Projects.
Hybrid — online instruction with on-campus components for capstone projects and final exams.
4/5-year B.E./B.Tech in EE, CS, Mechanical, Civil, IT, Design or related fields, OR a Master's degree. 60%+ marks. GATE not required.
Fill the application form, upload documents, and pay ₹500 application fee.
Appear for written test and/or interview if shortlisted by the selection committee.
Receive provisional offer letter upon selection. Pay ₹50,000 to confirm your seat.
Receive student ID and official email, then register for first trimester courses.
