Baja
This was the first time in history of IIT Guwahati that someone was trying to manufacture a vehicle eyeing for a National Level competition and this is where the foundation stone of our club was laid. This was an All-Terrain Vehicle which participated in Baja competition in 2012. Our team Srijan took it to Bangalore to participate and successfully reached the final round.
Powered by a Lombardini 340cc engine with maximum torque 23.5 Nm, this vehicle clocked maximum speed of 56.25 kmph. The Chassis was manufactured inhouse using AISI 1020. Being the first time, it was a great achievement for our team manufacturing this vehicle and reaching the finals of Baja 2012 with this All-Terrain Vehicle was an icing on the cake.
