About Myself

I am a Research Scholar in the Department of Chemistry at IIT Guwahati. On March 11, 1996, I was born in Arambagh, West Bengal. After completing my B.Sc. in Chemistry with Honours from Raja Rammohun Roy Mahavidyalaya in 2016, I obtained my Master's degree with a specialization in Physical Chemistry from the University of Burdwan, West Bengal, in 2018. I've been awarded the renowned Prime Minister's Research Fellowship in the December 2020 cycle to pursue my PhD in Chemistry at the Department of Chemistry, IIT Guwahati. In July 2019, I began my PhD at IIT Guwahati under the guidance of Prof. Parameswar Krishnan Iyer. Currently, I am working on developing multidimensional materials to fight neurodegenerative disorders. I want to investigate these areas and move towards contributing more effectively to society.

Prof. Iyer's group is focused broadly on designing and fabricating functional materials with controlled composition and architecture. Our consistent endeavour involves synthesizing and exploring unique physical properties of novel advanced materials, and exploiting these structures to design powerful new tools having applications in organic electronics, chemical and biological sensors and brain therapeutics. Our group is divided into three main sub-groups with a rich and overlapping set of interests.
