Dr. Subhamay Saha has been conferred with  Jyotiprasad Medhi Award in Mathematical Sciences in its inaugural edition yesterday. The award carries a citation and a prizemoney of 1.5 lakh (this year shared jointly with Dr. Gautam Kalita). The two winners this year have been selected by a panel of three US based experts. The award is given to a faculty member under the age of forty who has been doing research in mathematical sciences in Assam.
