“I hope I never turn every passion into a pursuit, every hobby into a skill, and every part of myself into something that needs to be justified.”
— Himanshu Kurzekar
I am Himanshu Kurzekar, currently pursuing a Master’s in Design in Electronic Product Design at IIT Guwahati, with a background in Industrial Engineering.
I am drawn to the space where the physical and digital worlds meet, where technology becomes more than a tool and begins to shape how people think, feel, and experience their surroundings. My curiosity lies in understanding human behaviour, exploring interconnected systems, and discovering the possibilities that emerge when the two intersect.
My interests span product design, human-computer interaction, and emerging technologies, particularly Extended Reality (XR) and AI-driven experiences. I am fascinated by how these technologies can move beyond screens to create immersive, intuitive, and engaging interactions. Whether exploring new interfaces or rethinking how technology fits into physical environments, I enjoy turning observations and ideas into meaningful design possibilities.
I believe good design begins with understanding people. Through research, observation, and experimentation, I try to uncover the motivations, behaviours, and challenges that shape human experiences. I am interested in the details that often go unnoticed but can fundamentally change how someone interacts with a product or system. For me, design is as much about asking the right questions and challenging assumptions as it is about developing solutions.
Outside the world of design, I enjoy immersing myself in stories across different mediums, including anime, manga, manhwa, K-dramas, and C-dramas. I am drawn to fictional worlds, layered characters, and narratives that evoke emotions or offer different perspectives on life. In my free time, I often find myself exploring these stories, appreciating the worlds they build and the experiences they leave behind long after they end.
As I continue my journey in design, I want to explore diverse disciplines without limiting myself to a single domain. I hope to build a multidisciplinary perspective that brings together technology, creativity, and an understanding of human behaviour to create experiences that feel natural, thoughtful, and meaningful.
