SolidWorks Design Challenge given to our first-year team members is completed. We are happy to announce the winners. At the First Place 🥇, we have CMAT V1, the Cyber Monster Artillery Truck Prototype scoring 68/100. Congratulation to Aditya Raj, Angshuman Hazoary and Divyansh Nigam! Our take on the model:

• Model is quite detailed and very well assembled.

• Steering and Suspension, even though off-beat, are still nicely put together.

• Differential gear, power transmission shafts are designed accurately.

• Innovation added for military purposes is great, but degrees of freedom for the mechanism can be increased.

Overall the design is impressive, well thought and worthy of first place in this challenge.

At 2nd Place 🥈, we have EV Buggy Prototype scoring 56/100. Congratulation Goutham Jyothilal, Vinay Kumar Patel and Ritesh Sunil Gole. Our take on the model:

• Very good effort to design an EV Baja vehicle.

• Chassis work was quite detailed.

• Steering and Suspension subsystems were conceptualized accurately but improvement can be done on assembling them properly.

Overall, the model was good and compact which was completed within the time frame.

Other notable mentions are

• Aryan Vijay, Yatharth Patil and Kailash R have made impressive outer bodies and now are skilled in Surfacing.

• Gunasekhar Naidu has made a great attempt in designing an IC engine.

• Priyam Bhavsar and Avantee Balpande did excellent work by designing working steering systems and Priyam's detailed model of front suspension system is impressive.

• Asutosh Mishra, Manish Mishra, Manish Panwar and Abhishek Kumar together have designed an attractive model of a Jeep.

• Everyone in the challenge performed very well. Some improvements in CAD skills, team-work management and communication, and time management could've been made which surely would've helped everyone perform much better than they've.

• We'll be coming up with more such competitions soon which will be open for everyone.
