The fifth edition of BAJA SAE India competition was conducted at the NATRAX facility in Pithampur from February 17-19. This was the first attempt in history of IIT Guwahati to participate in an Automobile Fabrication Competition. It is an inter collegiate competition to design build and race an off-road All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) that can withstand the harsh elements of rough terrain.

Our Team Srijan went to Bangalore to participate in this competition and was selected for the final round of this competition being one of the 100 teams out of the total 250 who registered for this event. Being the first time, it was a big achievement for our team. Our design was up to the mark, accurate and innovative as well. The judges who inspected the design were impressed very much with our car and appreciated our team for the innovations. The event was won by SRM University and the PES Modern College of Engineering were the Runner-ups.
