Department Central Instrument Facility (DCIF)

Department Central Instrument Facility (DCIF) houses several high-end instruments along with commonly used instruments for carrying various experiments. DCIFs contain several high-end equipment such as:

  • High Performance Liquid Chromatograph (HPLC)
  • Fast Protein Liquid Chromatograph (FPLC)
  • Atomic Emission Spectroscopy (AES)
  • Real Time PCR
  • Inverted Micrsocope
  • Auto Tensiometer
  • Lyophilizer
  • Circular Dichroism Polarimeter
  • Dynamic Light Scattering Machine (DLS)
  • Rheometer
  • Multimode Microplate Reader
  • Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR)
  • Ultracentrifuge
  • Bioreactor
  • Gel Doc machine

Commonly used facilities such as Autoclave, Centrifuge, pH meter, vortex mixer, incubators, CO2 incubators, laminar hoods, Biosafety cabinets and several other instruments are housed in the DCIFs.
